If you want a good appearance on your blog, find an interesting, eye-catching background to use that people love. Don't use a blank one that people aren't really fond of.
Use good gadgets, but don't go off topic of the blog with your gadgets.
Use different colors for text, instead of just black or one certain color.
Find a really creative, cool font for the texts. Don't use the same old font for everything, or the same color for everything.
Don't just talk about yourself on your blog. The topic matters too!
